Hea Sun (Jenny) Joh

Hea Sun (Jenny) Joh is a Korean Canadian global health researcher with an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases. She brings wide-ranging experience in coordinating and implementing infectious disease projects across low- and middle-income countries, with a focus on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), vaccination, and infectious disease epidemiology. Deeply committed to advancing health equity and promoting sustainable health outcomes, Jenny applies her hands-on field experience and scientific expertise to drive effective disease control strategies, strengthen surveillance systems, and foster local ownership.

Jenny played a key role in the CAPTURA I project, where she managed in-country activities across Southeast Asia and coordinated a multidisciplinary data team in the collection, analysis, and visualization of AMR and antimicrobial use (AMU) data. In CAPTURA II, she supports the development of private sector engagement guidelines to help countries effectively plan and implement strategies for involving the private sector in efforts to combat AMR.
