Big Data Institute, University of Oxford (BDI) – Part of the Li Ka Shing Centre for Health Information and Discovery, BDI is an interdisciplinary research institute that devises methods for analysing large sets of data related to prevention, treatment, causes, and/or consequences of disease. Professor David Aanensen, the Director of the Centre for Genomic Pathogen Surveillance, and team guided the collection, interpretation, and visualisation of metadata, and development of an AMC data visualization tool utilising methods they developed for mobile data capture (https://five.epicollect.net) and epidemiological data linkage (https://microreact.org) for analyses and visualization of very large datasets.
