Hridika Talukder Barua is a dedicated public health professional with substantial experience in leading antimicrobial resistance (AMR) initiatives in Bangladesh. Since 2020, she has been an integral member of the CAPTURA project team, contributing to the collection and analysis of AMR data to inform national strategies. Currently, Hridika provides strategic oversight and leadership for the implementation of the CAPTURA project, ensuring efficient technical operations, effective administrative management, and full compliance with the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) standards and national regulatory frameworks.

Her responsibilities encompass program management, including establishing service agreements, overseeing budgets, and addressing operational challenges. She actively engages with government agencies, key stakeholders, and donors to drive project goals and ensure sustainable impact.

Hridika plays a pivotal role in the development and review of the AMR Surveillance Monitoring and Evaluation (AMRSurME) framework in collaboration with consortium partners, promoting data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. She also leads the implementation of the National Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey (NAPS) tool in selected hospitals, strengthening antimicrobial stewardship and enhancing AMR surveillance capacity nationwide.
